How can urban aerial mobility overcome road transport congestion?

The authors in [1] highlighted that significant financial burdens are imposed on major cities due to traffic congestion. In 2019, it was estimated that New York City incurred annual economic losses of $11.0 billion, while Los Angeles suffered losses of $8.2 billion. On average, each traveler wasted 140 hours and 103 hours annually in these cities due to congestion. Urban aerial mobility is poised to reshape the future of urban transportation by addressing and alleviating road transport congestion.
